Sathya Sai
Organisation
Hong Kong

“The sole objective of the Sathya Sai Organisations is to enable man to discover his innate Divinity, regain his self-confidence, confidence and faith in God. The power and strength derived from the faith in self, from faith in god, will be enduring and ever-sustaining. The objective of Sai Organisations is to make people again become aware of this Truth and to live in that awareness.”

Sai Baba said the organisations named after Him must try to spread interest in japa (reciting God’s Name or a mantra), dhyana (meditation), and other sadhanas (spiritual exercises) which lead man Godward. They must also demonstrate the joys to be had from bhajans (devotional songs), namasmarana (repeating the holy Name), and the shanti (peace) that one can draw from satsang (being the in company of those pursuing the Truth). Further, the Organisation must render seva (selfless service) to the helpless, the sick, the distressed, the illiterate and the needy.

Swami once said that participation in the Organisation should not be merely for the sake of participation, it should bring transformation in one’s heart. The work should be done to purify one’s own mind and heart, without attachment to the fruits thereof. And so, the work each one does should be done with love in the heart, and the service each offers should radiate the fragrance of love.

The Sathya Sai Baba Centre of Hong Kong was established in 1976. It is registered under the Societies Ordinance Cap. 151 and is a registered charity. The Co-ordinating Committee oversees 2 Sai Baba Centres and 6 bhajan groups.

The Hong Kong Sathya Sai Organisation is in Zone 5 of the International Sathya Sai Organisation, along with Japan, China and Taiwan. Hong Kong is actively engaged in zonal work.
